With the arrival of season 1, Mask Girl season 2’s release date is hotly anticipated. It is based on the webtoon of the same name and is about a woman who always wanted to be in the spotlight. Becoming the titular Mask Girl allowed her to do exactly that. But a thrilling chain of events put her life into total chaos. Will there be a second season for the series?

Mask Girl Season 2 does not have an official release date, but it will likely be announced in the future.

At the moment of writing, Netflix hasn’t renewed Mask Girl for a second season. It isn’t surprising as the series arrived on August 18, 2023, and Netflix will factor in its viewership numbers before announcing a second season. But with the kind of reception it has got from the fans, season 2 is certainly possible.

The first season went into production on February 23rd, 2022, and wrapped things up on October 23rd, 2022. If a second season of the series gets announced later in 2023, we could expect a release for it in mid-late 2025, based on past production and post-production patterns.

Considering the fate of Mo-mi towards the end of season 1, it’s also possible that we may not get a second season after all. But if Netflix renews it, then the focus could shift to her daughter, who could lead the second season.

The cast of Mask Girl involves Ko Hyun-jung as Kim Mo-mi, and Nana as Kim Mo-mi. Even Lee Han-byeol plays Kim Mo-mi. Others on the roster are Ahn Jae-hong as Ju Oh-nam, Yeom Hye-ran as Kim Kyung-ja, Daniel Choi as Mr. Park, Kim Ga-hee as Yoo Sang-sun, Park Jeong-hwa as Lee A-reum, and Han Ja-i as Kim Chun-ae.

Mask Girl Season 2 is expected to come out on Netflix if it gets renewed.
